The Ray-Ban Change Collection introduces the brand's first photochromic frames, created with Transitions®. These glasses redefine the notion of transformation in frames, activating in seconds when exposed to UV light. This innovative process enables frames to change from a solid color indoors to unique multicolored patterns outdoors.
This collection is already available in several models: the Ray-Ban Wayfarer Change, the Wayfarer Oval Change, and other models could soon follow!
Manufactured with advanced acetate technology, Ray-Ban Change frames incorporate photochromic pigments that react quickly to sunlight. These pigments, from light to dark, activate instantly under UV rays, creating zebra or wavy patterns that stand out for their aesthetics and originality. The transformation takes place in seconds on the outside, and the frames return to their original state within minutes on the inside.
Ray-Ban combines the traditional know-how of cellulose acetate with the technological innovation of photochromic pigments. Each frame is a masterpiece of precision, created using a steam block assembly process. This unique process ensures that every pair of glasses is different, with distinctive patterns that vary according to UV intensity, time of day, orientation of the sun's rays and temperature.
The Ray-Ban Change Collection offers a wide range of color combinations and aesthetic effects. The frames are available in four basic colors and transform to reveal zebra or wavy patterns in sunlight. The color intensity of Ray-Ban Change frames depends on the UV index, the time of day, the orientation of the sun's rays and the temperature. The higher the temperature, the faster the transformation, both in terms of pigment activation and fading.
